On the morning of November 5th, Dongguan University of Technology's 2025 Sports Meeting officially kicked off. The phalanx formed by teachers and students of the International College displayed vigorous vitality and cross-cultural charm, becoming a bright highlight at the opening ceremony.

At the front of the phalanx, the distinctive "DGUT" logo symbolizes international students' recognition and sense of belonging to the university. Approaching the rostrum, teachers and students shouted in unison "We Love DGUT", conveying their love for DGUT with enthusiastic slogans!

Since its establishment in 2016, the International College has enrolled more than 800 international students from over 60 countries. Their active participation not only injects diverse cultural vitality into the sports meeting but also vividly interprets the university's international campus atmosphere of "diversity and integration, openness and inclusiveness". They are not only practitioners of "Learning reveals ignorance" but also "friendly envoys" for cultural exchange between China and foreign countries!

From the Stadium to the Museum: Experiencing Dongguan's "Agarwood" Charm

After the opening ceremony, teachers and students of the college went to the China Agarwood Culture Museum in Liaobu Town for a visit and study. As the "Hometown of Agarwood in China", Dongguan's agarwood culture has a long history. It is not only a precious local intangible cultural heritage but also an important part of Chinese agarwood culture. In the museum, through rich collections and colorful exhibitions, teachers and students systematically learned about the history of "Dongguan agarwood", the formation and types of agarwood, as well as the profound heritage of Chinese agarwood culture.

During the session introducing agarwood-producing areas, students from Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries showed strong interest and found resonance in the cultural elements from their hometowns. As a local cultural card of Dongguan, Dongguan agarwood further enabled these international students studying in Dongguan to gain a deeper understanding, recognition and love for the local culture.

At the end of the visit, a carefully arranged incense ceremony performance immersed teachers and students in the fragrance, allowing them to closely experience the elegant and calming cultural connotation of Dongguan agarwood and the unique charm of traditional Chinese elegant life.
