On the morning of October 30th, 2024, the 2024 sports meeting of Dongguan University of Technology was grandly opened. The unique formation with distinct international characteristics of the International College instantly became an eye-catching and beautiful scenery at the opening ceremony.

The formation of the International College gathered teacher - student representatives from more than a dozen countries, such as the United Kingdom, Russia, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Tonga, Malaysia, Vietnam, etc. Their participation enlivened the atmosphere of the opening ceremony and added rich international elements.

The teachers and students of the International College wore unified clothing and entered the venue neatly and joyfully, holding big red folding fans with Chinese - style elements and KT boards printed with theme slogans such as "Faster", "Higher", "Stronger", and "More United". Under the guidance of Li Yong, a Mexican international student, the members flexibly changed their formation into three - row arrays. The international students in the front row danced gracefully with the melody of traditional Chinese music, interpreting "Chinese style" with an "international flavor" and showing unique cultural charm. All members faced the podium and shouted in unison the slogan "International talents, ride the waves! DGUT Woo! Woo! Woo!", attracting cheers from the whole venue.
