The Dragon-Head-Raising Festival, the second day of the second lunar month, falls on March 11, 2024. It witnessed the kick-off of the 2024 Spring Chinese course (in-house) for international students of the International College. More than 30 international youth from 22 countries gathered at the International College, opening a new chapter of overseas study in Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT). In this semester, the International College makes new breakthroughs in education for overseas students, including the out-of-house corporate program, hitting a record high in terms of the scale of classes, number of students, places of origin of students.

The student mentor Chen Haidan organized an admission education in order to help the overseas students better integrate into the life of DGUT. During the orientation, Chen explained clearly all regulations and rules of the university, especially those on visa management and matters needing attention during their study in China. She encouraged students to actively participate in campus activities, exchange with Chinese students, experience and understand Chinese culture.

Teachers and students had a joyful gathering during the tea break arranged by the College. They tasted delicious food, met new and old friends and talked about the future in happy laughters and cheerful voices.

The Spring of learning Chinese has come.
