金秋送爽，学海扬帆。9月12日上午，东莞理工学院国际学院2025年秋季学期语言生开班仪式在松山湖校区6C204教室隆重举行。国际交流与合作部代表、松山湖公安分局警官代表、国际学院全体教师与来自世界各地的语言班学生齐聚一堂，共同参与、见证这一重要时刻。

On the morning of September 12, the Opening Ceremony of Language Students in the Fall Semester of 2025, International College, DGUT was held in Classroom 6C204, Songshanlake Campus.  Attendees included the Representative of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office, Officer of Songshanlake Public Security Subbureau, Teachers of the International College, and all the language students from around the world.

国际交流与合作部副部长兼国际学院副院长陈佰满致欢迎辞。陈院长对同学们的到来表示热烈欢迎，并深情阐述了汉语作为中华文明“活化石”与沟通中外“文化桥梁”的独特价值。他寄语同学们永葆好奇，精研语言；学以致用，知行合一；拥抱多元，广结友谊，并祝愿同学们在莞工学有所成，视野开阔。

Chen Baiman, Vice Director of the International Cooperation and Exchanges Office and Vice Dean of the International College, delivered a welcome speech. He described Chinese as a “living fossil” of Chinese civilization and a cultural bridge between China and the world. He encouraged students to stay curious, study deeply, apply what they learn, embrace diversity, and make friends. He wished everyone academic success at DGUT and a broader global vision.

随后迎来了庄重的校徽佩戴仪式。教师代表为新生佩戴东莞理工学院校徽。这枚校徽是“莞工人”身份的象征，意味着新生们融入了这个追求卓越的大家庭；更是一份殷切期许，时刻提醒学子们铭记并践行“学而知不足”的校训精神。

A pinning ceremony followed, with teacher representatives placing the DGUT emblem on new students. The emblem symbolizes their identity as part of the DGUT community and carries the expectation to live by the university motto of “learning reveals how much we still have to learn.”

教师代表王大壮在发言中分享了实用的汉语学习心得，鼓励同学们勇于开口、勤于实践，并代表全体教师承诺，将倾力支持大家的学习之旅。

Teacher representative Wang Dazhuang shared practical tips for learning Chinese, urging students to speak up and practice often. He pledged full support from all teachers for their learning journey.

为增强新生的安全意识，辅导员陈海丹老师开展了专题安全教育讲座。内容涵盖交通、住宿、网络等日常安全事项，系统介绍了中国法律法规、校规校纪及紧急情况下的应对与求助途径，为新生的在华生活保驾护航。

To strengthen safety awareness, counselor Chen Haidan gave a special session on daily safety, covering traffic, housing, and online security. She also introduced Chinese laws and regulations, university rules, and how to seek help in emergencies.

在自我介绍环节，同学们热情洋溢地分享来自不同文化背景的个人兴趣爱好和生活习惯。言语交汇间，心与心的距离悄然拉近，现场洋溢着融洽与温暖。

During self-introductions, students enthusiastically shared their interests and cultural backgrounds, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.

本次开班仪式在温馨而热烈的氛围中圆满落幕，为国际学子们的汉语学习之旅开启了精彩篇章。期待同学们以汉语为舟，畅游中华文化的浩瀚海洋，收获知识、成长与友谊，成为中外文化交流的使者。祝愿所有国际学生在东莞理工学院度过一段充实、快乐且意义非凡的求学时光！

The ceremony closed on an inspiring note, opening a new chapter in the students’ Chinese-learning journey. We hope they will use Chinese to explore the depth of Chinese culture, gain knowledge and friendships, and become bridges of cultural exchange. We wish all international students a fulfilling, joyful, and meaningful time at DGUT.
